Smith & Sons Machine was honored to support the third annual Cornhole for Kitt tournament this past Sunday at French's Common in Braintree.

The event benefits the K-9 Kitt Foundation, which was started in memory of the Braintree police dog by his partner, police officer William Cushing.

The foundation provides support for police K-9 teams injured in violent incidents.

This  hydraulic press was too large to fit in our customers building. We shortened the frame & hydraulic piston about 6 feet to meet their needs.

Smith & Sons Machine, Inc. is now offering in house Waterjet technology after recently purchasing a new Omax Maximum 1530 JetMachining Center. This is one of the fastest growing machine tool processes that offers versatility, accuracy and simplicity.

These custom and intricate injections molds were fabricated for our customer who supports a number of  DoD programs and systems since 1955.

This 6’ diameter fan had a broken shaft which needed to be replaced. We were able to remove the shaft and bushing without damaging the fan. This resulted in a shorter down time for our customer and a more cost effective solution.

No matter which type of an elevator rope holdback is needed, it’s important to ensure ropes are in accordance with the elevator manufacturer’s specifications. 

With our precision waterjet machine, fabricating 1/4” stainless steel plate to be cut into mounting flanges with ease and perfection.

Old and New. Our customer was unable to find a replacement for the bearing on the left. We fabricated a new one and supplied replacement ball bearings to keep their elevator up and running.

Our very own Dave Smith,  co owner and Norwell Firefighter battles a massive blaze on July 11th in Higham Ma. The  fire reached four alarms and spread to at least four other homes. Thankfully no injuires were reported.
